Ever wondered about The Prepared Table’s Book Club? Now’s your chance to experience it in a whole new way with Chef Amy and a little help from Robin!
One of the most beloved menus to date was inspired by The Baker's Secret by Stephen P. Kiernan, a moving novel set in France during the German occupation. Amid the challenges of wartime rationing, Chef Amy brings this historical period to life with a menu that celebrates resilience, resourcefulness, and the power of sharing meals—even in the hardest times.
Menu:
Join us for this unique and inspiring class, where history and flavor come together. Learn how to cook these creative dishes and leave with a deeper appreciation for the stories that shape our meals. You may even be inspired to read the novel, too!
This class is demonstration style, with hands on elements. Sit back and enjoy as Chef Amy creates and then enjoy the delicious dishes she makes!
We will have chilled water for you during the class; however, you are welcome to bring your own sip. We will have wine glasses for your beverage, should you choose to bring one. We do ask that you do not bring hard liquor.
All reservations for our classes are non-refundable, however, they are transferable to another guest. In the event you are unable to attend a class, please call the shop at your earliest convenience and provide the name you are transferring your reservation to. If you are unable to find a replacement and there is a waitlist for the class, we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are successful, we will apply your fee to a future class.
