Dive into the world of sourdough with Jennifer from Bluebonnet Dough Works! This interactive class is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to refine their sourdough skills. Jennifer will guide you through:
  • Starter Maintenance: Learn how to care for your sourdough starter to keep it active and healthy.
  • Building Your Dough: Understand the essential steps for creating a beautifully structured dough.
  • Baking the Perfect Loaf: Discover tips and techniques to achieve a crusty, golden loaf with a soft, airy crumb.
This class blends demonstration with hands-on practice. You’ll have the chance to shape your own loaf while Jennifer demonstrates key techniques, like stretching and folding dough. At the end of class, you’ll leave with:
  • Your very own sourdough starter
  • A banneton (proofing basket)
  • A shaped loaf of dough ready to bake at home
Whether you’re new to sourdough or eager to deepen your knowledge, this class will equip you with the tools and confidence to continue your sourdough journey!

We will have chilled water for you during the class; however, you are welcome to bring your own sip.  We will have wine glasses for your beverage, should you choose to bring one.  We do ask that you do not bring hard liquor.

All reservations for our classes are non-refundable, however, they are transferable to another guest.  In the event you are unable to attend a class, please call the shop at your earliest convenience and provide the name you are transferring your reservation to.  If you are unable to find a replacement and there is a waitlist for the class, we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are successful, we will apply your fee to a future class.
